World Capitals01Information We Collect
World Capital Cities Trivia (“the App”, “we”, “us”) may collect:
- A randomly generated player identifier used to associate gameplay and leaderboard progress with your device.
- Your display name and gameplay statistics, including scores, accuracy, rankings, Daily Challenge attempts, map-pin guesses, response times, clues used, completion dates, World Tour route progress and attempts, Boarding Pass balances, and Route Stamps.
- Device and usage information, including device model, operating system, App version, language, IP-derived approximate location, screen views, gameplay interactions, and session information.
- If you submit a question report, we may collect the report details and any optional text you provide so we can review and improve the App.
- Crash, error, and performance diagnostic information.
- If you use Sign in with Apple, an Apple-provided account identifier and, where Apple provides them, your name or email address.
- When interactive maps load, network and device information, map requests, and de-identified usage telemetry may be processed by Mapbox.
We use player, device, and installation identifiers, including Apple’s identifier for vendor where available, to associate gameplay, product analytics, and diagnostic information with a player or installation. This information may remain linked through these identifiers even when your name or email address is not included. We do not use these identifiers to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Daily Challenge map-pin coordinates represent your answer in the game. The App does not use your device’s physical location.

We use this information to:

We do not sell your information, display third-party advertising, or use your information for cross-app advertising or tracking.
03Public Leaderboards
Your display name and selected gameplay statistics may be visible to other users on the App’s leaderboards.
Public information may include your display name, rank, scores, accuracy, participation, streak, and best results.
Your email address, Apple identifier, device identifier, and individual map-pin guesses are not displayed publicly.
You can change your display name in the App’s Settings screen.
04Sign in with Apple
Sign in with Apple is optional.
If you use it, Apple and Supabase process authentication information to create or restore your account. Information provided by Apple may be stored securely on your device and used to connect your gameplay progress across devices.
We do not use an Apple-provided email address for marketing.
05Third-Party Services
We use the following service providers:
- Supabase for authentication, leaderboard data, and gameplay storage:Supabase Privacy Policy
- Amplitude for product analytics:Amplitude Privacy Policy
- Sentry for crash reporting and performance diagnostics:Sentry Privacy Policy
- Mapbox for interactive maps and map content. When maps load, Mapbox may process information such as your IP address, device and SDK information, map requests, and de-identified usage telemetry. You can manage Mapbox telemetry through the attribution information control displayed on the map:Mapbox Privacy Policy
- Apple for Sign in with Apple and operating-system services:Apple Privacy Policy
These providers may process information in other countries. We require service providers that process App information to provide protections consistent with this policy and applicable law.
06Data Retention and Deletion
We retain leaderboard, gameplay, question-report, authentication, analytics, and diagnostic information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the App.
Third-party services retain information according to the retention settings of our accounts and their applicable policies.
Uninstalling the App or signing out does not automatically delete information already stored on our servers.
In version 3.0.6 and later, you can permanently delete your game account from Settings. Scroll below Feedback & Support, tap Delete Account, and confirm. This option is available to both guest players and players who use Sign in with Apple; you do not need to contact customer service to complete it.
If your account is linked to Apple, the App asks you to verify with Apple during deletion to confirm account ownership and revoke the App’s Sign in with Apple access. This does not delete or affect your Apple ID.
Account deletion removes your game account, display name, scores, Daily Challenge history, Passport and Atlas progress, World Tour progress, and wallet from our active gameplay systems. The App clears the associated account data stored on that device and confirms completion with “Account Deleted.” Starting fresh or signing in again does not restore the deleted progress.
We retain minimal one-way hashes of deleted player and authentication identifiers, together with the deletion date, to prevent old devices, sessions, or queued submissions from recreating deleted records. These records do not contain raw identifiers, names, email addresses, or gameplay history and are retained while needed for that protection.
We also request deletion of analytics associated with the player identifiers we can verify. Provider processing and retention may continue according to the applicable service policies; analytics cleanup does not delay confirmation of game-account deletion.
For help with deletion, or to request access to or correction of your information, email:
contactcapitaltrivia@gmail.com
Please include your current display name and mention whether you use Sign in with Apple so we can identify the correct records. We may request additional information where necessary to verify the request.
You may also contact us to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where applicable.
07Data Security
We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect information. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure.
08Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
09Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features or data practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
